A1Zap Cookie and Tracking Notice
Last updated: May 6, 2026
Effective date: May 6, 2026
1. Scope
This Cookie and Tracking Notice explains how A1Zap and our partners use cookies, SDKs, pixels, local storage, mobile advertising identifiers, device signals, and similar technologies on A1Zap websites, mobile apps, share pages, public pages, creator surfaces, ads, and related Services.
For simplicity, this Notice calls all of these tools "tracking technologies," even though some apply only to web browsers and others apply to mobile apps, embedded experiences, or server-side events.
2. Why we use tracking technologies
We use tracking technologies to operate the Services, keep users signed in, secure accounts and sessions, remember settings, detect fraud, prevent spam, diagnose errors, measure product performance, understand feature use, attribute installs and referrals, run experiments, support advertising and sponsorships, measure campaigns, and comply with legal obligations.
3. Categories of tracking technologies
| Category | What it does | Examples | Choices |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Operates the Services and protects accounts. | Authentication cookies, session tokens, load-balancing cookies, fraud-prevention signals, security logs. | Usually cannot be disabled because the Services will not work properly without them. |
| Preferences and functionality | Remembers settings and improves usability. | Language, display, consent, community-view, and notification preferences. | Manage through settings, browser controls, or consent tools where available. |
| Analytics and performance | Helps us understand use, diagnose issues, and improve features. | Product analytics, event logs, crash reporting, performance monitoring, A/B testing. | Manage through consent tools where required, privacy settings, browser controls, and device controls. |
| Advertising, social, and attribution | Measures and supports ads, sponsored content, referrals, install attribution, and campaign performance. | Pixels, ad SDKs, mobile ad identifiers, conversion events, campaign IDs, social-media measurement tools. | Manage through consent tools, "Your Privacy Choices," Global Privacy Control, browser controls, device settings, and app tracking permissions where applicable. |
| Communications and abuse prevention | Supports delivery, link integrity, unsubscribe, rate limiting, invite controls, and anti-spam. | Message diagnostics, link integrity checks, anti-bot signals, delivery events. | Some are essential. Others may be controlled through settings or legally required opt-outs. |
4. Third-party partners
Depending on the feature, A1Zap may work with analytics, measurement, social-media, advertising, attribution, hosting, fraud-prevention, payments, communications, app-store, and customer-support partners. Examples may include tools such as Meta, Google, PostHog, app-store providers, payment processors, and other vendors, if enabled in the product.
The categories above identify partners by type. If we maintain a public vendor or subprocessor page, it will identify the partner, category, purpose, and whether the partner may receive information for advertising, analytics, attribution, or targeted advertising.
5. Web choices
Where required, A1Zap will provide a consent banner or consent manager that lets users accept, reject, or manage non-essential tracking technologies. Strictly necessary technologies may remain active because they are needed to operate the Services.
Users may also control cookies through browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect login, checkout, community membership, saved preferences, and other features.
6. Global Privacy Control and privacy-choice signals
Where required by applicable law, A1Zap will honor supported opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, as valid requests to opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising for the browser or device that sends the signal.
A1Zap provides a "Your Privacy Choices" or similar link on web surfaces where legally required. If a user is logged in and the signal can be reasonably associated with the account, A1Zap may apply the choice at the account level where required or feasible.
7. Mobile app choices
Mobile apps may use SDKs, push tokens, crash logs, device identifiers, and mobile advertising identifiers that do not operate through browser cookies. You can manage certain mobile choices through device settings, such as location permissions, notifications, camera, microphone, contacts, app tracking permissions, advertising identifiers, and app privacy controls.
A1Zap works to keep App Store privacy labels and Google Play Data Safety disclosures aligned with the data collection, sharing, tracking, deletion, and retention practices described in this Notice and the Privacy Policy.
8. Known minors and youth restrictions
A1Zap does not permit children under 13 to use the Services. A1Zap does not knowingly use personal information from known minors for targeted advertising or independent marketing profiles.
Where A1Zap knows a user is a minor, A1Zap limits or disables behavioral advertising, sale/share-style disclosures, custom audience targeting, third-party ad pixels, creator tracking, and sensitive-data targeting unless a legally valid opt-in and all required safeguards exist. Our product rule is no behavioral ads to known minors.
9. Creator and community tracking
Creators, advertisers, community administrators, campus administrators, and event organizers may not add hidden pixels, SDKs, fingerprinting, tracking redirects, or independent tracking tools to A1Zap experiences unless A1Zap expressly approves the integration and required notices, consents, opt-outs, app-store disclosures, and platform controls are in place.
A1Zap may scan, block, remove, or disable Creator Experiences that include unauthorized tracking or undisclosed outbound data flows.
10. Retention
Retention periods for tracking data vary by tool and purpose. A1Zap retains raw identifiers and event-level advertising or analytics data only as long as reasonably necessary for measurement, security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and product analytics, and de-identifies, aggregates, or deletes data where feasible.
11. Changes
A1Zap may update this Notice as technologies, vendors, laws, and product features change. This Notice maintains an effective date and version history where applicable.
